1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Method
Cream the white sugar (1/2 cup). brown sugar (1/2 cup), and softened butter ('1/2 cup`) in a medium bowl with a wooden spoon.
Add in the egg (1), vanilla (1 tsp). and baking soda (1 tsp) and stir to combine.
Add in flour (1 1/4 cup) and salt (1/2 tsp).
Add the chocolate chips (1 1/2 cup).
If necessary, place the mixture in the fridge until it's solid enough to handle, about 20-30 minutes. Otherwise, roll into balls and space evenly and generously on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake at 315°F or 160°C for 10-15 minutes or until edges are darkened and top is no longer pale.
